USCIS H-1B Lottery Online Registration Opens March 7 at 12pm ET

USCIS will run the Fiscal Year 2026 H-1B Lottery Online Registration starting today, March 7, at noon ET until noon ET on March 24. During this period, prospective petitioners and representatives must use a USCIS online account to register each beneficiary electronically for the selection process and pay the associated $215 H-1B registration fee for each beneficiary.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) confirmed that “in the event of a lapse in appropriations, USCIS will continue to support the H-1B application process via all collection methods, including pay.gov.” The federal government is currently funded only until March 15, 2025, which is in the middle of the FY2026 H-1B cap registration process. If Congress does not pass a continuing resolution, certain parts of the federal government will cease functioning until funding is resumed.
