Public Charge Rule Vacated

A federal court in Illinois vacated the new Public Charge Rule, which expanded the definition of immigrants who are inadmissible to the U.S. due to their finances. Per the court decision, the rule violates the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) and must be vacated. As such, green card applications filed November 2 and onward will not be required to file Form I-944 and provide additional financial, public benefits, and health documentation.
