F-1 OPT EAD Applications Can Now Be Filed Online

USCIS announced April 12, 2021 that I-765 Application for Employment Authorization forms can now be filed online for the F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT) and F-1 STEM OPT 24 month extension categories. Until now, all applications were filed through paper applications mailed to USCIS with physical checks and supporting documentation. I-765 forms, payments, and supporting documentation will now be accepted on the USCIS online filing site. USCIS will also continue to accept paper applications. USCIS accepts 11 different forms online, which can be filed after creating a USCIS online account.
